Welcome to another teachings about Jesus Christ on this blog today. Last week, I discussed the first part of “How to Carry the Jesus Burden” and I promised to continue this week. I am going to be providing answers (to the glory of God) to 2 important questions on this topic today.

• Jesus asks you and I in Matthew 11:28-30 to cast off a form of burden and put on His own burden. He also says, His own burden is light. Now why does Jesus have a light burden?

• How do you carry the Jesus burden successfully in your journey on this earth?

Let me go straight to answer these questions:

Why Is Jesus Burden Light?

Jesus says in John 15:5b, “… without Me you can do nothing”. Jesus knew that at Calvary, He had made Himself to carry every burden that can make you and I to be unfruitful. Therefore, if you have Him as your Lord and Savior, you don’t have any heavy burden to carry again. He has the whole of it on Himself already so what you have left, as a Christian is a light burden.

However, if you are outside Jesus, you are making yourself to carry the heavy burden, which can really make you fail. I am not surprised He says, “…without ME, you can do nothing”

Now to the second question.

How Do You Carry The Jesus Burden?

Yes, I have shown you that the Jesus burden is light but you still have to carry it anyway. I have seen people who have not done very well carrying even this light burden. Infact, I must say many of us (Christians) have not done very well carrying this burden.

Let me show you from Matthew 11:29 the only thing it will cost you to carry the Jesus light burden:

“Take my yoke upon you, and Learn of ME; for I’m lowly in heart…”

Can you see this “only thing” in the passage above? Jesus says LEARN OF ME: This is the simple thing you have to do on a continuous basis. You must learn from Jesus or let me call it complete obedience to the instructions as revealed to you from time to time and from His word, the Bible.

The Bible says in 1 Samuel 15: 22; “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams”. Your success as a Christian will depend only on your ability to carry this light burden of Jesus successfully and the only way the Bible teaches you can do this is to seek instruction from God and make effort to obey.

Important Note

Now that you know that your ability to go successfully through life is when you make yourself carry the Light Burden of Jesus. If you don’t have Jesus as your Lord and Savior yet, you can take a decision today to do that. Confess Him now as your Lord and Savior and things will take a new turn in your life!

Let me read your comments and testimonies.
