I am teaching to the glory of God one of the most profound teachings of Jesus Christ in Matthew 11: 28 – 30. In this teaching, He asked His listeners to leave a from of burden or yoke and carry another form of burden.

Let us read these verses in the The Living Bible version of the Bible:

“Come to me and i will give you rest – all you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear my yoke – for it fits perfectly – and let me teach you. For I am gentle and humble and you will find rest for your souls; i give you only light burdens”

Interesting and revealing passage. Now Jesus is not telling you to cast off the first form of burden and remain burdenless all your life. No, He is not promising that! He saked you to do away with the first burden and pick up a second one – His very own burden!

My dear reader, you will never live a burden less life here on the earth!

There is however one great significant difference between the two forms of burdens. The second one (the JESUS Burden) is LIGHT.

Now why is His burden light and how can you carry the JESUS’ burdens successfully during your time here on this earth? I will answer these questions in my next post.
