Why God Created Darkness – My Experience
Hello, I promised to share my experience with you after the series on “Why God Created Darkness” and I am just here to keep my promise.
I gave my life to Jesus immediately after graduation from college. It was a great experience to surrender to Him finally after struggling to do it earlier when He visited me in my dreams with Bible verses (this was about one year earlier).
My parents under very tough economic conditions had brought up my sisters and me. Therefore, as the first child of the family and now as a Mechanical Engineering graduate, the jobs must roll in so that life can really come soft on us.
In my early days as a Christian, I came across John 15:5b where Jesus declared, “Without Him, I am useless” and I felt very strongly that having giving my life to this Jesus Christ, achieving my aims and objectives in life would come very easy. However, how surprised I was, as I could not secure any appointment of whatever form for two and a half years!
The more I moved closer to God in service, the more I attended interviews and failed. I even missed one big interview process because the letter of invitation arrived late!
It was really a very tough experience as though I was now a “child of light” but this “darkness” thing was still acting out its scripts around me.
Years after this experience, I came to realize that the Holy Spirit handed over most of the “God messages” or revelations that must explain what my purpose in life should be to me at this “important period of my life!
Though “darkness” was playing out its scripts at this stage of my life but God was there altogether and because He created light and darkness (Isaiah 45), He was just using this great tool to grow me and also to keep my attention on Him!
This is my experience number one. I will post another in my next post.
Remember that your job as a Christian who is the “Light of the world” is to shine through “darkness” and you can only shine through if you can keep your focus on Him and stand on Jesus to fight “darkness” when it shows it head or face.
IMPORTANT NOTE
If you are not a Christian, you will struggle fighting “darkness”. You do not have any chance of being victorious. Remember, “Without Jesus you can not do anything” (John 15:5b).
