How to put an end to fear

There are different types of fear that exist but I will be describing majorly the type of fear that always tries to stop you from attempting or achieving a worthwhile task. I call it the project fear.  People who live with this type of fear won’t really fulfill their destiny. If you must fulfill destiny or accomplish the purpose why God planted you on this earth, you will have to attempt and complete projects after projects in your lifetime as the Lord will bring along your path.

So let us look at how you can begin to put an end to fear.

Have you observed how you begin to hear some nasty silent voices that preach impossibility to you whenever you take a decision to lay your hands on a worthy Godly project? You should have observed how this silent voice becomes stronger the moment you take a decision to dance to its tune.

This is the voice of fear and the force behind this voice is the devil and his cohorts!

When you allow this killer voice to tame your confidence the moment it begins to speak to you, it will naturally gain momentum and begin to speak more strongly.

Let me inform you that everyone hears this silent voice, it’s just that the big players, top entrepreneurs and the high achievers in the society have found a way to tame it and keep it silent and ineffective. You must also find a way to do that too if you will dine with the top achievers of our society at the accomplishment table.

How to End Fear

  1. You should first of all understand that fear does not really exist: Most top achievers that I’ve studied their stories have gone ahead to achieve great things in the area where they first had fears. They put their fears where it belongs – under their feet and have done great things. The same can said of the bible Gideon in the book of Judges 6. He had great fears on his ability to execute a war God asked him to execute. After series of assistance from God, he put his fears under his feet and executed the war. Fear does not exist; you’re the one who always give it the platform it stands upon. If you fully understand this, the devil will always think twice before he begins to use fear to stop you.
  2. Write down your fears: Whenever you have a project to execute and it appears fears have set in, take some time out to write out the exact fears you’re having about the project. Write them down on a paper to see clearly the fake enemies that are trying to stop you.
  3. Do those fears: You should muster great efforts to do those documented fears first. Do them, even it means taking simple steps in those areas. When you must have done something in that area, you will begin to understand fully the fact I mentioned under tip 1 above.
  4. Read at length: You can chase fear away by allowing yourself to read extensively or carry out extensive researches on the type of project you want to execute. When you are filled with enough knowledge and information about your project, it can go a long way to help your confidence to lay your hands on the project.
  5. Look for model: Whatever you want to achieve, you should look for someone or a model project that has been done in that area. There will always be one. Study the life of that person or study the project you have found. If you know and have studied a person or a model project which has been successful in this area, it will go a long way to help your confidence.
  6. Prayer: I mentioned earlier how God helped Gideon in Judges Chapter 6 to overcome his fears. God did that to many others in the bible. Moses, Joshua were other great achievers God helped to overcome their fears. Paul the Apostle also did that with his writings in 1 and 2 Timothy to his mentee, Timothy. You need the platform of prayer to bring in the mighty hand of God to overcome fear. Go on your knees and ask God to help you. Bind the spirit of fear. Soak your mind into the blood of Jesus. Confess the Word of God in your prayers and at different times during casual discussions.
  7. Go ahead and don’t look back: When you must have started a project, you should ensure you don’t look back. Just keep on pressing the throttle.

I hope you have enjoyed this Christian personal development lesson for today.
