How to find the cheerful countenance

How do you find this cheerful countenance before every job interview? Proverbs 15: 13 reveal the answer to the question above:

“A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken”.

This bible passage just showed the secret. You must have a merry heart to have a cheerful countenance before a job interview.

You can have a merry heart by following the tips below:

Learn to pray before a job interview

Learn to pray some hours before the interview. You should let your heart and mind be focused on the task before you while you pray.

You can pray in your understanding and also in the Spirit. I have used this tip very well before I facilitate seminars. I enter the seminar class with a merry heart and the Spirit of God finds it more convenient to flow through me and help me during the seminar. I also use my merry heart and cheerful countenance to charm the audience.

Note: I want to believe you are born again and filled with Sprit of God. This tip and others shared in this chapter or in this book will be difficult for you to practice if you are not born again. You should say the salvation prayer immediately before you continue with this chapter:

Father in heaven, forgive my sinful past. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins and His shed blood has wiped away my sins. I believe He is the Son of the Living God. I accept Him as my Lord and Saviour. I want Him to begin to rule in my life as from now on. I believe I am saved. Thank you God for hearing my prayer

Study God’s Word before s job interview

Study the Word of God extensively the night before the interview and read the Psalms in the bible aloud to yourself.

Eat your favorite food before a job interview

In the morning, ensure you eat your favorite food. If you are comfortable with skipping your breakfast, you can do so. Ecclesiastes 9:7 advises:

“Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart. For God has already accepted your works”.

Avoid difficult people before your interview

Avoid difficult people a day or the morning before the interview. You can however deliberately bring yourself into the midst of people who inspire you.

You can give them a call or have a social media chat with them. Proverbs 27: 17 supports this fact with this statement:

“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend”.

You may or may not discuss your job interview plans with them. If you are married, find time to watch your favorite television programme with your spouse and children in the evening before the day of the interview. They should pray together with you over the job interview.

Get enough information before you go for job interviews

Get enough information about the job and the company. This knowledge can give you lots of motivation.

Read your favorite book before a job interview

Read a chapter or more from your favorite book. Verse 30 in Proverbs chapter 15 has this:

“The light of the eyes rejoices the heart…”.

Let your eyes, mind and brain feed on the content of your favorite book. The good report from it will surely make your heart merry.

I hope these tips are useful to you. I want you to note that you can also make all the tips above a daily or regular practice in your life.
