How do you help someone who needs help? How can you motivate yourself to make yourself and your resources available to help anyone that needs your help or support.
How to help someone who needs help is the focus of my post today. Christians are designed scripturally to help people who needs help.
It is just that lots of Christians struggle with the wrong belief that they don’t have what is necessary to help others who need help. The truth is that you have something to help someone who needs help. I will show you how to find what you have to help people in this article.
How to help someone who needs help: The little you have
The ‘little’ you have is enough to put a smile on the face of someone, solve the problem of someone or add values to the life of someone.
Look at what Jesus taught the disciples in a deserted place when He made them feed 5000 people:
Matthew 14:16-18
[16]But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
[17]And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”
[18]He said, “Bring them here to Me.”
It was a deserted place. It was a difficult situation. The disciples recognized the people had problems but they never believed the lillte they had would solve the problem of the people.
How to help someone who needs help: Don’t avoid responsibilities
The disciples tried to avoid responsibilities; they asked Jesus to send them away. But Jesus said to them:
“Common, find out what you have. The little you have is enough to solve their problems” (paraphrased).
You should never say and conclude in your heart and mind that you have nothing to be of help to someone. There’s something you have to add values to someone or even to put a smile on the face of someone.
How to find out what you have
You will need to find out what you have. You may even need to consult God. The disciples never knew the 5 loaves and two fish would be enough to feed the multitudes until they consulted Jesus.
You should learn not to write yourself off whenever a situation presents you the need to help someone. You should take your time to look critically at what you have which can help the situation in your own little way.
Add values to someone today. Solve someone’s problems today with what you have.
