I am using this post to show you my reply to a good friend of mine who, probably, did not understand the important connection between the two. I believe my sincere reply will help you.
Wealth and eternity: Are the connected?
Yes, wealth and eternity are connected. God, in His word, talks about wealth and eternity. There are clear instructions in the Bible about how to have both.
You can have both. In fact the ultimate is for you to have both – that’s God’s will

In fact, the summary of my friend’s comment is about wealth and Christianity. He said you don’t have to be a Christian to be wealthy. He advised others not get themselves confused by religious bigots.
Well, partially, he was right. You can wealthy without being a Christian. This is true. But there is a danger! What is that? Please look at my reply to his comment and be blessed.
Eternity is the ultimate
One of my good friends reasoned that people should not bother to consider being a Christian to be wealthy. He said we have people who are not Christians (atheist or other religions) who are wealthy. Hmmm. I replied with this:
Me: At the end of the day, what matters is eternity. That’s the big difference. If you make all the wealth on this earth, you still have to be sure if you will land in heaven or hell.
Some people say there is no heaven or hell. Hmmm. But everyone must understand the risk. What about if after everything on this earth there is heaven or hell.
The Bible is filled with people who are not Christians or who are not godly who use principles to be wealthy. The pharaohs, Herod’s, the rich fool, the rich man in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man.
So it’s not new. The Bible is complete – it talks about them.
But the Bible warns that what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul.
The principles of Jesus or God are universal. Anyone can use them and be wealthy. But the Person of Jesus is not – you need to accept Him as Lord and Savior to make heaven.
That’s the big difference! You need both the Person of Jesus and the principles of Jesus to run well on this earth and also ensure your eternity is settled in God.
It’s always a choice anyone has to make. But everyone must be sure of answering the question – what if there’s a heaven or hell at the end of it all?
If you’re sure there is no heaven or hell, then you can go ahead to enjoy yourself and live ungodly life on this earth.
But if you know that as students go through school studying and leaning there will always be a day they must be examined or tested. A day the will give accounts if they have done well during the school term.
There’s surely a judgement day!!!!
