Best Godly business principles: Is God interested in my business?

If you are a first-time visitor to this Christian personal development blog, you may be tempted to ask, “Godly business principles? Is God interested in the way I run my business?”

The quick and sure answer to that question is: Yes, God is very much interested in the way you run your business. He is interested in everything about you and the earth. Remember that He created you and I and the earth (Psalm 24).

Wrong business alliance

Getting into the right business alliance is one of the ways you embrace Godly business principles. A wrong business alliance will do you and your business no good in the long run.

The wrong business alliance can hurt you, your business and your cherished relationship with God. If you lose your cherished relationship with God, you have lost everything! Nothing is more important than keeping a healthy and an improving relationship with God.

Godly business principles: How Jehoshaphat missed it

King Jehosaphat found out or learned his lessons when he went into a wrong business alliance. Read it below:

2 Chronicles 20:35-37

[35]After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah allied himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted very wickedly.

[36]And he allied himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish, and they made the ships in Ezion Geber.

[37]But Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have allied yourself with Ahaziah, the Lord has destroyed your works.” Then the ships were wrecked, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

He allied himself with a wicked and deceitful business man. The end result was that he did not even receive any gain from the business alliance. The ship could not do business as expected. He got no profit!

Check every business proposal and relationship

Take your time to pray and check every business proposal or alliance. Not every business relationship is right for a Christian Entrepreneur. You should understand that money or profits are not the most important gains for you and for your business.

The most important gains are the benefits you get from keeping a healthy and an ever improving relationship with God almighty, your Creator. It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow.

I hope you loved this post on the best Godly business principles you must begin to embrace. Let me read from you how you run your business according to the rules of God.
