The Word of God clearly shows us that we have to beware of contrasting doctrines and theology. We should do this, especially today where we have lots of demonic doctrines flying around.

Really, the devil is fighting and working hard to populate the information space with lots of these contrasting doctrines in a bid to achieve his mission.

What are contrasting doctrines and theology?

Contrasting doctrines and theology are simply information or revelation or teachings or information that are contrary to God and His Word.

These teachings clearly go against the plan of God in the following areas:

  • Salvation for man
  • How man is supposed to comport his life after salvation
  • How man is supposed to be obedient to Him alone
  • Finding solutions to any problem
  • Where to spend eternity
  • How to worship God
  • The use of money and wealth and how they should be acquired

Those are just ways or areas where contrasting doctrines and theology can impact either positively or negatively.

What Paul wrote about contrasting doctrines and theology

I want you to look at what Apostle Paul wrote to his protegee about contrasting doctrines and theology:

1 Timothy 1:3-4

[3]As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

[4]nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.

Timothy was a Pastor and Paul had to inform him to avoid teaching other doctrines or allow the spread of these evil doctrines among the members of his church.

If Paul had to tell a Pastor this, then it shows every Christian must beware and observe to avoid these teachings.

Spread of ungodly information

Ungodly information are really spreading today. The production and spread of these ungodly doctrines are at an alarming rate in our society today.

The goal from the pit of hell and the devil is to put more people in bondage so he can achieve his mission of stealing, killing and destroying.

Paul warned his protegee, Timothy severally about this in his two letters to him. He said,

4]nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.

Get committed to personal study

Watch out daily for these types of false information spreading around you. You must get more committed to personal study of the Word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Are you even born again? If you are not, you can’t be sure of receiving the necessary help to discover the truth from God’s Word as we have it in the Bible.

You need to give your life to Jesus Christ today. Say a simple prayer asking God to forgive your sins and ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior.
