Plague outbreaks have been a common thing in the history of the world. Even in Bible days, we read about different types of plague outbreaks. The good news is that God is always on top of situations whenever there are incidences like we have today in the area of Coronavirus and other diseases ravaging our world.
Plague outbreaks: what should be the reaction of Christians
In the face of this demonic intimidation by Coronavirus and other diseases in our world today, what should be the reaction of Christians? This is the purpose of this short post today.
I believe we should always have roles to play whenever anything or any plague outbreak is threatening our world. We are God’s representatives here on the earth today. The Spirit of God lives in us to do the will of God on the earth.
Christians should not forget who they are and why they are here on earth. We should see these cases as an opportunity to help our world with the power that God has deposited in our care. We should put in the effort to find out what God’s Word says about us and what the mind of God is about the plague outbreaks.
The world needs our prayers to end the plague outbreaks
The following shows how we can react as Christians today or at anytime plague outbreaks are intimidating us and our world:
- It is time to help our world with prayers.
- It is time we fight back with the Word of God.
- It is time we don’t keep quiet or get discouraged in the place of prayer.
- It is the time we stand up against this intimidation by these demonic diseases.
- It is the time we curse the demons behind them.
- It is the time we pray for God’s wisdom for scientists, governments of countries worldwide in order to contain this and fight off this intimidation from the pit of hell.
Christians are saviors
The Bible says we are saviors (deliverers). The Bible says “the heavens belong to the Lord but the earth He has given to the sons of men” (Psalm 115:16). We must contend earnestly with prayers and boldness.
If you are a Christian who does not believe in the power or necessity of prayer, I believe it’s time you have a change of mind. Events happening now are showing we will always need the power of God on this earth for survival. Thank God for technology and thank God for science but it is not a sin to let God and the content of His Word be in complete control of all these.
When we walk through plague outbreaks
Psalms 23:4-5 has this: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”
If you have not considered giving your life to Jesus, you have a golden chance today. Ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior. You need Him to survive on this earth.

Psalms 24:3-4 says: “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.”
Finally, God is always hiding His own people during the time of famine and plagues, I pray God will hide you and your family in this critical period in our world.
