The sowing and reaping principle is a very powerful principle and it’s clearly taught in the bible just like the other success or growth principles. You will not really achieve much if you don’t learn, understand and put the sowing and reaping to work in your life, finances, and business.

What are principles?

I will be using the following illustrations to define and explain what principles are:

  • Leveraging principles can be a powerful way to get things done that are ordinarily out of your capacity
  • Principles are powerful drivers that can greatly increase your productivity and also push you towards success
  • Principles give the small ‘you’ the opportunity to get big things done
  • No matter who you are and wherever you are, principles can always work for you

Just like I mentioned, there are lots of them in the bible and I have been able to write articles and have mentioned them in some of my kindle books videos, and video courses.

What is the sowing and reaping principle?

“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest… shall not cease” Genesis 8: 22

That statement above sums up everything the bible has to say about the sowing and reaping principle. That was an emphatic statement and it has helped to guide my understanding and use of this great success principle.

Do you know something? That statement or principle from that bible passage came into existence after God vowed not to destroy the earth again with a flood again. You don’t believe that? Go and check it out in Genesis Chapter 8: 20-21

God destroyed the earth and promised not to do it again that way in Genesis 8:20-21. However, wait for this…

God knew that there would always be wickedness and sin on the earth. If He would not destroy the earth with a flood again, what then would serve as the punishment for the wicked people?

God also knew there would always be good people who will always do good on the earth. What then would serve as the rewards for the good people?

Sowing and reaping principle came on board

The seedtime and harvest or the sowing and reaping principle came into existence to serve as the punishment for wickedness on this earth. It is simple: What you sow, you will reap! Sow good and reap good! Sow evil and reap evil!

I am not really going in that direction in this post. How can this beautiful principle be of use to you and your business?

Relevance of the principle to you and your business

If you have a business idea, you should understand that it’s a seed. No matter how good it is, if it is not planted, it will never bring the results or fruits it’s designed to bring.

After college many years ago, I caught a seed idea in Mathematics when I was a Math teacher and I kept this seed in my heart and mind for about 3 years. It was there wasting away.

In case you have been planting the seeds and watering it and it seems the harvest is not coming, don’t fret, the harvest will surely come. It is a biblical principle.

Jesus operated by the sowing and reaping principle

Jesus also operated with the sowing and reaping principle. He said,

“Except a grain of corn falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone…”

Jesus had to be sown into the ground in death and on the third day, He rose from the dead. He was before then the only begotten Son of God but now He’s the first begotten Son of God.

Many sons like Jesus are being added to God’s kingdom every day. The seedtime and harvest principle work and it will continue to work as long as the earth remains.

One last message: You will not need this principle when Jesus comes back. There is no seeding or sowing to be done in heaven. You need it NOW! Start using it NOW!

I hope you love this post. please share with your friends on social media. I want to read your comments.
