This Christian business marketing idea will go a long way to increase your business profit if you can put them to use. God’s Word is filled with lots of Christian business success principles, this Christian blog has shown that over the years.

Christian business marketing idea: I get lots of this in the bible

I have found lots of Christian business marketing ideas in the bible that have been very useful to my business. I deliberately go into the Word of God to find these Christian business marketing ideas.

And of course, I have seen great results after I apply them. I am sure you will also have the same testimony after you have read the whole of this blog post on Christian business marketing idea and apply it to.yiur business.

Christian business marketing idea: Are you compelling them enough

I must confess I had this problem when I started out in business as a Christian. I had this wrong notion that it was wrong to ask people to buy something from me. I saw this as covetousness or as ungodly.

But the Spirit of God helped me to change this wrong notion overtime. I believe some Christian entrepreneurs too must be feeling this way or have this wrong notion.

How the Holy Spirit helped me

I was helped by the Holy Spirit to understand that it’s normal to create a good product and ask people to buy it. If it’s a good product or service, you have the legal and Godly rights to ask people to buy it; it’s not a sin.

That was the summary of the Christian business marketing idea that the Spirit of God planted into my heart. The task of compelling people to buy my product/services.

How Jesus taught this Christian business marketing idea

Well, Jesus took this Christian business marketing idea to another level in the passage below in Matthew 22:1-10 (you will have to read the whole passage because it’s in a story Jesus told):

“Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying:  “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

“Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

“But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.”

A check list to analyse this Christian business principle

Let us look at the analysis of this Christian business principle and the relevance of this story to the theme of this blog:

  • “A certain king”: This implies a certain business person.
  • “Who made a marriage for his son”:  He created a good product or service. In verse 4 he showed that he had prepared a good product.
  • In verses 4 – 8, he tried to sell the product to the wrong people. They did not buy the products.

Now let us see what he did next:

  • In verses 9 – 10, he asked his servants to go into the highways. I’m sure you remember what wisdom did in chapter 3 in this book? The highways represented spots where he could announce his product and services to the people.

Something is significant here in verse 10. Let’s look at it:

  • “So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.” The servants gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good and the wedding Hall was filled with guests.
  • This is an example of a publicity campaign for a business or a product. He brought in the people through publicity; he will then begin to use marketing campaigns to sell to them. Not all who came in during the publicity will end up being buyers of his products.

The simple lesson from the analysis of this faith based business idea is:

Design your publicity campaign to bring in as many people as possible and design your marketing campaign to sell to them consistently.

Learn to compel the people

The business owner said something to his servants that I want you to take away from this post. He asked his servants,

“to go the street corners and invite (or compel the people) to the banquet anyone you find.’ (verse 9).

Most business people don’t do this! They don’t compel or invite the people to patronize their businesses. Their sales copies/advert materials /sales promotion representations are not compelling or inviting enough. Their websites does not help or compel visitors to buy their products or contact them or subscribe to their newsletters.

If you have a great product or service, you should understand that you have a duty to compel the people to hear about your product and to buy your products.
