I have always given the following encouragement about giving tithes and offerings to some people in my private discussions with them. This is important today for a lot of reasons. A lot of people have been fed the wrong message about tithes and offerings in the church. A lot of pastors and heads of the various Christian ministries have also helped this anomaly with their lifestyles and actions.

Encouragement about giving tithes and offerings: The right information

Now, the biggest encouragement about giving tithes and offerings should come from the bible. It’s just that a lot of people are not studying the bible or they are not allowing the Holy Spirit to help them understand the will of God through the Word of God in the bible.

I had to ask the Holy Spirit to show me the will of God on the payment of tithes some years ago. I was able to write and publish a book on my interesting discoveries.  You can check out the book here.

You will be amazed at what the Holy Spirit showed me about the practice of tithes payment in the church. The revelations will likely be different from what you have read or heard about tithes and offerings.

More encouragement about giving tithes and offerings

Let me give you more encouragement about giving tithes and offerings. Even if you don’t believe the pastors who ask you to pay tithes and offerings in the church, I wonder why you are struggling with paying an ordinary 10% to a church which:

  • is involved in evangelism
  • has a lot workers on their payroll and feeding lots of families in Nigeria.

Considering the fact that we heard unconfirmed reports that terrorists organization get money from those who are their supporters. But when it’s the time to pay tithe, Christians begin to speak lots of grammar and quote old testament and new testament scriptures to support the need to stop paying tithe.

Ten percent of tithe payment is kindergarten

Ten percent of tithe payment is kindergarten in the school of Kingdom prosperity. Some people have moved above this percentage level. Jesus said loving God with all our hearts is the greatest commandment.

If we love God with all our hearts, we should be able to put out resources on ground, at any level of percentage, for the work of God or for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We should stop struggling with whether a man of God is consuming tithe upon his lust or necessities. You are not getting the rewards from your pastor but from God who sees your heart when you gave out your tithe.

My simple advice on tithe payment

Pay your tithe in the church you attend where they are feeding you the Word of God. It’s your duty to ensure you are in the right place in the first place. Let God’s Spirit direct you.

Don’t forget to check out my book on whether it’s godly to pay tithe or not.  You can check out the book here.
