The grace of God is available and at work on this earth. The devil and anyone cannot deny this. Another truth is that the grace of God is deposited or made available in the lives of people on earth.

I am surprised that some people find it so convenient to abuse the grace of God in the lives of people or drag the grace of God in the mud. I had to address this issue on an online forum recently. This is what motivated this post.

What is the grace of God?

The grace of God is the supernatural power of God that works in the lives of people or in situations that make a very difficult task easier to solve or resolve.

God knew that darkness, problems, and complications will be around on this present earth so He has by His sovereign decision made His grace to be available to solve these problems with His power.

Paul and the grace of God

The grace of God was evident in the lives of Paul the Apostle. The interesting Bible story below shows that:

2 Corinthians 12:7-9
[7]And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.
[8]Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
[9]And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

God’s grace turned him into a super problem solver and miracle worker. We have lots of people like Paul who carry the grace of God.

Why are people abusing grace?

I am surprised to see lots of people abusing such graced people, especially on social media these days. When the grace of God is evident in the life of anyone and he or she is using it accordingly, then Christians must be careful not to find themselves abusing or even cursing such graced people.

Dangers of abusing graced people

Some dangers and consequences come with abusing graced people.  We read about a situation in the bible when Elisha commanded a wild animal to tear off children who were abusing him (2 Kings 2:24).

We also read how God cautioned Aaron and Miriam when they were kicking against Moses’ authority.

The following are the dangers of abusing graced people:

  • You help the cause of the devil
  • You remove yourself from the cover of that grace
  • You use your mouth to judge yourself
  • You turn away more sinners from Christianity
  • You kick against the authority of God over your life

My reaction on a forum

Handling money

I am posting my reaction to an online discussion where some Christians were abusing and cursing some notable graced Pastors in my country. This will further educate you on the respect for the grave of God on people.

And must you use the wrong words to pass across your views? Do you talk to elders that way because you detest what they do? Or do you want to tell me that Pastor Adeboye is not called by God?

Even the devil knows that. Maturity also requires a man to pass across his views without using the wrong words. If you say Daddy G.O Pastor Adeboye) is wrong but you just also corrected wrong with wrong.

Did you think about that?  Good examples are what I have just shown you now. Maybe the problem is that people always allow their wrong emotions to rule them whenever it’s time to comment on what they detest.

Have you taught of it? What about if you are wrong and he is right? Abraham paid tithe before the law. Is that wrong? If you don’t want to pay tithe, then pass by and let those who want to pay.

Have you taught of many souls that have been blessed with the ministry of this Man of God for many years now physically, spiritually, and materially? My friend don’t pay tithe if you don’t want to pay. Let others who want to pay.

When I noticed there was no immediate reaction from the forum, I added the following lines:

On my part, I don’t even need to read the scripture to pay it (tithe)to these ministries because I see the effect on my life. Even if you have to look at the many employees on their (those ministries) payroll with their families. If you have to look at the missionaries they support on the field. The social project they are involved in the country and outside the country.

Then, I concluded with the following:

I rest my case. Let us be careful with our words. With our words, we shall be justified and with it, we shall be condemned. Don’t let us give a place to the devil. You will think it’s just a discussion on an online forum. No. It’s more than that. The devil and heaven keep records of everything!

Hmmm, I hope you have learned from this post. Stop abusing grace or God. Instead, learn to celebrate it. God bless you.

I want to read your comment. I would also like you to share this post with your friends on social media.
